Three dog breeds you didn’t know existed.
We all love our golden doodle or our black lab.. but did you know there are several breeds of dog around that may be so rare that you won’t even recognize their names? Trust me, you are going to want to google some of these names.
- Xoloitzcuintli: Also known as the Mexican Hairless Dog, the Xoloitzcuintli is one of the rarest breeds in the world. This breed has a unique appearance due to its lack of fur and comes in three sizes: toy, miniature, and standard.
- Lagotto Romagnolo: The Lagotto Romagnolo is a rare breed of dog that originates from Italy. This breed was traditionally used for hunting truffles and has a curly coat that doesn’t shed much, making it a good choice for people with allergies.
- Otterhound: The Otterhound is a rare breed of dog that was originally bred for hunting otters. This breed has a shaggy coat and webbed feet, which make it an excellent swimmer. Otterhounds are known for their friendly and sociable personalities.
